Job Title: Sr. Loan Servicing Rep

Status: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)

Compensation: $29-$34 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary:

The Senior Loan Servicing Representative is responsible for a wide range of administrative functions throughout the loan lifecycle-from preparation through file closing. This role supports internal and external customers by conducting loan file audits, monitoring insurance, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records in core servicing systems. This position follows established procedures and maintains high service standards while providing key operational support in the loan servicing process.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and send notices for tax and insurance breaches, as well as NSF (non-sufficient funds) letters.

Set up new, renewed, and modified loans in the system; prepare corresponding loan files.

Respond to servicing inquiries including payment issues, transaction investigations, and general account questions.

Conduct full audits of loan files and documentation.

Serve as a Notary for satisfaction documents and other loan-related items.

Ensure all loans requiring flood insurance maintain acceptable coverage; manage disbursements for escrowed accounts.

Assist in scanning and organizing daily loan documents.

Maintain tracking and documentation for Error Resolution and Information Requests as required by regulations.

Monitor and audit tax service activity, flood certification data, and reports on delinquent taxes.

Review daily loan reports and assist in maintaining data accuracy.

Support other loan servicing team members as needed; assist with special projects and duties as assigned.

Stay current with updates to internal policies, procedures, and loan products.

Qualifications:

Deep understanding of mortgage products and related servicing procedures, including regulatory compliance and audit/reporting requirements.

Proven ability to make sound decisions in complex financial situations.

Strong orientation toward client relationship building and business development.

Familiarity with sales incentive programs and performance metrics.

Strong leadership qualities with the ability to engage with external executives and senior internal stakeholders.

Advanced accounting skills for complex financial reporting and analysis.

Competency with computer systems, particularly spreadsheets and word processing tools.

Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written-with the ability to lead, coach, and influence.

Education and Experience:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a business-related field and a minimum of 4 years of experience in mortgage lending
